11 months!

So, yesterday Lauren and I were at the PX and I decided to buy some (more) wedding magazines. I got one that is like a planner sort of. It tells you what your supposed to be doing at what point in the wedding count down time line! We are at 11 mos, and I have A LOT to do! Im very excited tho. I think this week I might send out Save the date magnets. We also need to be picking our location for the wedding/receptions!

Sorry for not writing very often, I recently moved and dont have access to a computer everyday! This week I should be updating a lot because I will be staying at Lauren's house while Kevin and his dad are in Las Vegas bowling! :)

Colorful Colorado!

WE MADE IT! And, PROUDLY with out any arguing! (if you know kevin and i, you would know a trip like this would cause a little friction)

So, we left at midnight tuesday night/wednesday morning so we could get a head start. Kevin drove ALL day, until about 1:30pm. Nothing exciting happened to my knowledge.. i was sleeping! haha. Anyway, i drove about two hours and then we decided to stop in Casey, IL. It was about 95* out, with (as kevin says) 1000 percent humidity! We jumped in the pool, which was seriously like bath water! Ate some diner, and relaxed in the AC. Headed to bed at 5pm, so we could get some rest for a long day of driving again!

Got up at 3, and headed out.. finally made it to Co about 4 their time. What a trip! Sophie was GREAT! She couldnt have been better! The first day she was in her kennell alll day, which its big.. so she was fine. And she didnt fuss at all! The next day, i couldnt help it.. i let her sleep with me :) And she was great! She stayed right in my lap all day.

Colorado is just as I remember it! I have been crazy busy which is great! Keeping me from being homesick! Which I still am. Saw my sister and her bf, and his daughter. My friend Lauren, and a few of her friends. My cousin Rachel, Travis, their boys, and my cousin Keith. And of course Kev's dad, and sister and mom. <3

It was a Wednesday. I was at work from 12-8pm. I got home after a very long, busy day.. exhausted! I walk inside and plop down on the couch. The first things that I notice is that Kevin and Laura (my little sister) are extremely hyper! They are bouncing off the walls! Laughing about everything, joking and just being plain old annoying! I'm like, guys.. seriously?! I'm tired!


So, Kev comes over. "Lets go for a walk," he says. A walk is the last thing I wanna do! But after 10 minutes of beggggging, I give in.


So, we're walking. Its a beautiful night, with a beautiful sunset.. We're talking. About moving, about my day, about his day. We get to the dam. I ask, "can we turn around now?" Nope. So, we head out across the dam. We stop to poke around and look at things. I'm yakking away about nonsense, Kevin's making small talk back. He's not next to me, I turn around to see where he is JUST as he is pulling something out of his pocket.


"WHAT IS THAT?!?!" If anyone was there to witness my reaction, I probably could have won on Americas Funniest Home Videos or something. So, I'm freaking out cause I see this little small white box.... I sit down on the ground. Kevin's laughing at me. He's talking, I'm anticipating.. and...


"Will you marry me?" :-) Of course you can guess my answer. And, suddenly I have all the energy in the world! haha. So, after a few minutes of hugging, kissing, screaming, jumping, and laughing we head back (practically running!).


Kevin had already asked my parents and shown my mom the ring (and her friend that was over, and my aunt and uncle, and everyone in the phonebook of his cell phone) And my sister had gone with him to pick it up... So they were anxiously awaiting our return! We made a pit stop at my grandparents on the way home and told them. We went home and celebrated over champagne with my parents and sister. <3

First Timer!

So, this is my first ever blog! I'm not really sure what to write, but it looks fun! I love reading my friend Lauren's blog and getting an update on her life :-) ...

I decided to make my blog about ... my ENGAGEMENT! And, everything else going on in my life right now! So, here goes nothing...

Long story short: Kevin and I have been together for two and a half CrAzY years! We met when I moved out to live in Colorado Springs, CO for college. After a long year and a half of dating, I was extremly homesick and decided to move back to my hometown where my family is. Needless to say, I drug Kevo along with me :-) We have had a very interesting year! But all in all, we both have learned so much about each other. We have both grown up so much individually and as a couple. And at the end of the day, I love him with all of my heart.
